Journal Club

So, signed up for the blog - first time ever, bit daunted, wondering what it's all about...

I work in a busy teaching hospital and have been there about 18 months. Seems like longer sometimes... One of the things I have started in the unit has been a Journal Club. Sparsely attended by trainees off our ward area I fear.

Just now, reading a paper for journal club tomorrow am. I'm actually looking forward to it - bizarrely as I'm just back to work after a period of time off trying, unconvincingly, to complete a write-up and have left work at 2100 - but struggling to find the motivation to complete the paper.

I set this up after reading the Renal Fellow Network blog over the last year or so - a really good blog and highly recommended to all renal trainees out there. I'm going to keep it fairly informal, no-one will read it anyway: I'll mainly stick to renal stuff, independent music and the films of Francis Ford Coppola.

But more of that later.

Pink Floyd on the itunes, the New England Journal calls, all good.

Iain
